Semicolon in Linux logon banner causes banner to be truncated

This is something that may be unique.  I have two servers, one has Centrify on it and the other doesn't.  When you log into the one that is managed by Centrify, the welcome banner which contains a semicolon in the text is truncated at the semicolon.

The banner prints correctly on the server without Centrify.

Has anyone seen this before?  Is there a solution out there?

Re: Semicolon in Linux logon banner causes banner to be truncated

Hi - I have tried to recreate your problem and can't replicate it using 2017 versions of Centrify Direct Control and Centrify SSH

Remember that the displaying of /etc/issue is normally part of the ssh login process as its configurable in sshd_config so it would not be related to CentrifyDC.

Have you tried using strace on a loopback ssh session EG. ssh AD-USER@localhost to track files opened ETC?

Also let us know your versions of CentrifyDC and CentrifySSH
