DirectControl Settings missing in GPO editor / OS X Mobility Settings

[ Edited ]

Hello,

I'm a french system administrator, working in freelance and specilized in OS X and OS X Server products for enterprise scenario.

On a customer location, I've a brand new AD domain built on 2012-R2 servers.

I've setup a Centrify Server Suite Standard Edition 2014.1 to manage a pool of OS X systems. (in trial mode actually, the order in waiting for process)

I'm trying to set my users mobility settings to use an secondary volume to store the home folder.

This is supposed to be pretty straitforward: just set the good path in mobile account creation policy.

However, the doc say, if I'm in auto zone (and this is my case), I must change the Adclient Settings in DirectControl settings via the policy editor.

And here is the glist, if I try to follow the documented path (GPO editor > Computer Configuration > Plocies > Centrify Settings > DirectControl Settings > Adclient Settings) I can't find the DirectControl section.

Inside the Centrify Settings in my GPO editor, I only have common unix features and OS X ones. Nothing else.

Do you have an idea why I don't have the DirectControl Settings?

(If I try to setup my Mobility Settings anway, it don't work, like described in the doc, the settings is just ignored by the client)

Best regards,

Yoann Gini

Please reload the ADMX templates.

In the GPOE, right click on "Centrify Settings" and select "Add/Remove Templates".

Select the following templates and click Open and OK.  You should now see all of the GPO options.

Hope this helps.
